Day Eight
1. A friend gave me a great recipe.
2. My ability to stay in the moment for longer periods of time.
3. I finally had the time to mow the lawn..it looks great!
4. I did my first handstand by myself. Learned it in yoga.
5. Took care of some nagging errands. Felt good to check it off my list.
6. Received nice compliments about my job as secretary on the H&S Board.

1. Excellent Yoga class!
2. The gift of a dove egg at yoga class today.

Day Six
1. It didn't pour rain at the track meet as it has for the past 5 years.
2. Eve's relay team beat their time by almost 3 seconds.
3. Delicious dinner at Toscano's with friends after a long day at track.

Day Five
1. Finally created a floral centerpiece for the 8th grade graduation that I am happy with. It took four trys.
2. carved out some time to do community service with my kids for the Food pantry.
3. Finished mulching before th rain came.
4. Watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with my girls and found out that is where the song Moon River came from. Cool.
5. Had some nice conversations with strangers while soliciting for food to give to the pantry.

Day Four
1. My Dad who spent the morning with me spreading mulch around the vegetable garden in 80+ degrees.
2. Landscapers who put sand lock in the joints of the pavers at the pool so I should have virtually no weeds between the cracks this summer. :-)
3. Time by myelf to take care of chores or whatever I needed to without being on a schedule or continuously looking at a clock.
4. Quiet time with my husband to talk while we drove out to dinner with friends.
5. A delicious meal and good conversation with friends at Matt's Red Rooster Grille.

Day Three

Day Two
1. I made it to computer class on time...before the instructor... and I felt very present for the whole 4 hours.
2. I completed a nagging chore around the house that I had been putting off.
3. I took time out of my day to bake cookies...because I wanted to.
4. I picked up a carpool of kids and had a nice time talking to them because I was really listening to them.
5. I filled the bird feeders and stopped to appreciate the hummingbird resting on the perch.

Day One
Things I'm grateful for today:
1. My Dad- who came over in the rain today to feed the chickens and rabbits so I wouldn't have to.
2. The rain which watered all of the vegetables I planted.
3. A great e-mail from a friend about the A Mayonaise Jar that I loved.
4. The landscaper who mulched all the flower beds and for the moment have no weeds visible. It looks great!
5. I lived through another day at the dentist having two cavities filled. No epinephrine. So no heart palpitations. Yea!

Starting to feel a shift
Started taking a great yoga class with an inspirational instructor (Kathy Holmes) and since day one of the class she has helped me begin to heal my heart. Yesturday, I can honestly say "I feel a shift" in my attitude. I look forward to my classes with Kathy and recommend that everyone try Yoga. From today forward, I will use my blog as my gratitude journal in an attempt to show that with Grace you can be grateful for the simplist of things and appreciate life from within yourself without being bogged down by the external world. With your support on this path, in time, I hope to feel true happiness and appreciate the beauty of simplicity.
